Biography

ABDULRAHMAN I. AL-SOLIMAN

·          Born in Al-Hasa and live in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

·          Graduated from Teachers College-Majored in arts education.

·          Works an arts teacher in Dammam.

·          Attended graphics and etching workshops in Asselah, Morocco.

·          Arts editor at Al-Youm Daily Newspaper in Dammam since 1983.

·          Contributed to several arts periodicals in the Arab World in plastic art field.

·          An organizer and a host of a number of seminars, symposiums and lectures on fire arts.

·          Participated in a number of seminars and symposiums abroad.

·          Prepared a program entitled plastic art magazine for the Saudi Radio.

·          Head of plastic arts section of the Saudi Society for Culture and Arts in Dammam 1987-2000.

·          A member of the permanent committee for Exhibitions at the Saudi Society for Culture and Arts.

·          A founding member of the Arts Friends Group of the GCC Countries.

·          Member of the International Fellowship of Arts.

·          Wrote a book entitled the Saudi Plastic Art, March 2000.

·          An active participant in the Plastic Arts exhibitions inside the K.S.A., since 1971.
